 clear cedar boards, 1-11/16" x 2-3/4" x 54"

epoxy glued with alternating cross grain

 before assembly, each board was tapered from waterline to tip,

every board has different taper based on the plan tapered foil section,

when assembled they form the approximate foil section shape,

this reduces the amount of material to be removed by planing

Daggerboard construction

clear cedar boards 1.5" x 3.125" x 8ft

epoxied together with alternating cross grain

- note that before gluing the portions below the keel near 

the leading and trailing edges have been cut down close 

to the final foil thickness for each board, 

to minimize planing to the final shape
