using narrow 1.5" cedar veneer to handle compound curvature
around bilge area

1/8" oak veneer added for ding resistance
over selected area
and to toughen the hull bottom against damage from trailering
oak trim around daggerboard exit for crush resistance
(okoume and cedar are soft in comparison)
